I have to admit, I enjoy quite a few Bon Jovi songs. It’s My Life has always been a fun one, but I liked it even more once I found out it was inspired by babies in mothers’ wombs. Okay, I made that last part up. But, what if it was? Let’s pretend for a minute. Abortion-loving liberals and lefties have hijacked the issue of abortion all these years, I’m sure Jon Bon Jovi won’t mind if I hijack the meaning to the lyrics of his song…
This ain’t a song for the broken-hearted
No silent prayer for the faith-departed
See?! What’d I tell you? It’s not a song for the broken-hearted and the faith-departed, it’s for the innocent babies!
I ain’t gonna be just a face in the crowd.
You’re gonna hear my voice when I shout it out loud.
Nope, the babies aren’t going to let you forget them. All the pro-lifers just want to help amplify their sweet little voices!
It’s my life, it’s now or never.
I ain’t gonna live forever.
I just wanna live while I’m alive.
Claiming or pretending babies aren’t alive when they are killed in the womb is a denial of reality. I love to consider the fine folks at pregnancy care centers who support mothers in choosing life for their babies. Just think what a difference even an ultrasound can make, as a way to make the baby’s voice heard. You can almost imagine the baby saying to a woman considering abortion, “It’s now or never, Mom. Here I am. I won’t live forever, but I just wanna live while I’m alive. Don’t end my life!”
My heart is like an open highway.
Like Frankie said I did it my way.
I just wanna live while I’m alive.
It’s my life.
I love the feeling of driving on an open highway, looking ahead at all of the possibilities over the horizon. Babies’ lives are like that — they’ve got their whole lives ahead of them. I don’t know what stance ‘Ol Blue Eyes’ held on abortion, nor do I care, but I can tell you confidently that God is on the side of life. For the record, He is the REAL Chairman of the Board!
This is for the ones who stood their ground.
For Tommy and Gina, who never backed down.
Tomorrow’s getting harder make no mistake.
Luck ain’t even lucky gotta make your own breaks.
It’s quite appropriate to consider “standing one’s ground.” That reminds me of stand-your-ground laws which uphold the right to self-defense when great bodily harm or deadly force is being perpetrated against you. Babies in the womb can’t stand their ground and fight back when they are on the verge of being terminated, but we can come to their defense! We must! Let’s take that page from Tommy & Gina, and be “living on our prayers” as we never back down in this fight to protect the innocent! I don’t know if tomorrow will be harder or not, maybe Jonny BJ knew something I didn’t when he released this in 2000, but I agree with there being no luck, and we need to push for the chains of murder against babies in the womb to be broken!
I’ll stop here with the lyric analysis, but I hope you never listen to this song the same again. It’s worth pointing out that this song was on an album titled Crush. Crush is also the violent action a baby’s head is on the receiving end of in the most common abortion technique used during the 2nd trimester. Did you know that? I hope you will take the time to look up other horrific facts about babies being murdered and join us and the innocent babies in shouting the womb babies’ anthem—IT’S MY LIFE…I JUST WANNA LIVE WHILE I’M ALIVE!!!
